SIMPLIFICATION OF WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS FOR PRODUCING MORE OPTIMAL PUMP SCHEDULES IN LESS TIMES
Simplification of large water supply networks is used for reducing computation times and for making it easier to manage, monitor and analyze. The effect of networks’ simplification on raising the efficiency of pump optimization process is investigated. The key topic of this paper is to produce more optimal pump schedules by using simplified networks. In this research, twelve of demand allocation methods are used after the simplification process and the best one is selected. Then, the simplified network is used for finding a better pump schedule than that produced from the original one under the same conditions, by using Genetic Algorithm (GA) in WaterGEMS V8i software. The produced schedule from the simplified network is applied on the original network to check its performance. Two examples are studied. First, Scheduler Sample1 is reduced by 52 % for pipes and 50 % of nodes. The schedule produced from the simplified network, after applying it on the original network, gives a better solution than that produced from the original one by 9 % in the energy cost along a week and by 12 % in the time for optimization. Second, New El- Minia city network is simplified by removing 82 % from its pipes and 77 % of its nodes. The schedule produced from the simplified network saves the energy consumption along a week by 1.7 % and the time for optimization by 74 % after applying it on the original network.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SIMULATION AND OPTIMIZATION TOOLS FOR BUILDING INTEGRATED PHOTOVOLTAICS (BIPV)
A growing attention has been paid to building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) from both architectural and engineering favorability. There are various computational tools developed to provide computations to optimize BIPVs and often simulations for predicting their performance. This provides a great potential for designers to have different helpful tools to be utilized. This paper introduces a comparative analysis of the most common computational tools that compute or simulate main parameters of BIPVs: building energy consumption, solar exposure radiation flux and PV system performance. These computational tools are classified based the method of processing the inputs and compared using evaluation criteria. Also, optimization algorithms that can be used in optimizing BIPVs have been compared. This comparative analysis helps designers to determine better tool/s and algorithm/s for their design cases and required optimization for BIPV. The main findings of this study are the capabilities, limitations, advantages and disadvantages of each computational tool and optimization algorithm presented, in addition to the best selections among them via a comparative analysis to be used for different design cases.

THE ORIGINALITY OF THE ARCHITECT BETWEEN THE THOUGHT AND THE METHODOLOGY OF THE REALITY, CRITICAL VIEW
It is easy to choose more than one research method; but it is difficult to adopt more than one mindset, that is because research method is a way of thinking and turns out from tool to be behavior and reaction; whilst the trend is the belief of that behavior or that reaction. This is what brings us to that hidden submerged area, which this research goes to, it enables the architect out of that duplicate to choose more than a single certain research method, beside his belief of a certain mindset, as an effort to continue development on the architectural field. The problem that is being studied by the research is going around the difficulty of taking a decision that can help the architect in taking the suitable position along with that line which can connect between the two ways of the intellectual approach that affects the development of architecture and its progress, ( Back to the past – or deny it to look for the new ), Which may bring it from time to time to one of the them according his visions and according to the data that is imposed according to its reality through many factors which are imposed compulsory on the field. Here comes the main question of this search which is "What is the mean that ensures the proper functioning of the role of the architect in the issue of the continuation of the architectural evolution in his lived reality, either that was an ideal reality or it was a weak one? Then what is the role of both the reality and originality in the issue of choosing the research method and adaptation of mindset? We will follow a comparative analytical approach to two architects through several axes, which are: (Factors affecting the architecture, professional and practical performance, the level of Culture, the intellectual mindset) to get an answer to the question of research. Of the most important findings of the research, is that the originality of the excellence of the architect (His composition) that is the major motivation for adopting a mindset, while his reality is to be the main player to take more than a research method to go with and keep pace with the architectural evolution march, which has to continue with none stop in an extreme barging dialectic that doesn’t ascertain any or method.

A STUDY OF EQUITABLE ACCESSIBILITY AND PASSENGERS FLOW IN FUTURE STATIONS OF CAIRO METRO
This work aims to solve the issues of equitable accessibility, and passenger comfort in future Cairo metro stations at micro-level during normal operation. First, the conventional evaluating tool for capacity of station facilities, and the design considerations for passengers flow in rail transit stations were recalled. Second, three future stations with different characteristics were selected as samples of study; the relevant data were collected from Tender documents. The accessibility of stations was analyzed using an access checklist extracted from disability code. Then, Flow-density analysis inside ticket hall of each station was carried out using micro-simulation software. The results showed that the stations accessibility does not achieve needs of passengers with disabilities. Moreover, levels of service inside the ticket halls are very poor and uncomfortable, although the capacities of passengers’ facilities were calculated according to NFPA restrictions. Right angle junctions, service facilities existing in cross-flow, and reverse flow directions are the factors that create congestion zones and reduce the level of service. The study concluded that concept of accessibility for disables should be given more attention, whereas applying the spatial separation concept between passengers boarding and alighting will reduce the flow density and optimize the level of service.

SIX SIGMA APPROACH TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS CASE STUDY ON THE ARCHITECTURAL FINISHES
Although, the construction industry is considered a service industry but it represent the biggest share of the total funds invested yearly in the industrial sector. As construction projects varies in its value and size, so its quality achievement has a great impact on economy. To ensure this impact we need to reduce production costs through cancelling correction defects and faults costs, cancelling rexcutional costs, achieving customer satisfaction, and reducing maintenance costs. This lead to a new methodology that is called “six sigma” this methodology helped in increasing the economic life of buildings, increasing company trusty and share in the continuity and competence of the company in the market. This methodology includes a number of advanced statistical tools used in an integrated way to improve the product quality level through a well skilled team. The importance of six sigma increased specially at the finishing works level because it is related to the client satisfaction. Many construction projects leaks outcomes especially in this level because of its low quality, which makes it significant for researcher to search for applying this new methodology to improve construction works according to international specifications and standards. This can be achieved through ensuring the quality of outcomes and simplicity of implementation process to allow the construction companies to keep up with the international market.

CONTINUITY AND DISCONTINUITY ARE TWO CONTINUED EVOLUTION SIDES IN ARCHITECTURE AND URBANISM. CRITICAL VIEW
The issue of continuity and discontinuity has occupied an important status when we look ahead for the architectural evolution and its continuity over the scene, which is searched by the architecture and urbanism in anywhere and time. The issue of returning to the past or pointing back to it, or even overlooking it, has raised a wide argument bearing intellectual trends that mimic the past, the present and the future. Here we can ask a question, which is: What is that past that we are talking about ? Is it the prevailing societal thought that prevails or the beliefs that control individuals and their activities in the community during that instance, Or is it that ARCHITECTURAL AND URBAN appearance legacy for places lived by our ancestor in the past ? Then comes another question completes what the first one started, Says: Which any of issues mentioned in the first question that may continue or interrupted intellectually for a period of time, can influence more in in the desired architectural development and progress and how.? The research will attempt to answer these two questions through analytical critical vision of the philosophical principle of the cases of continuity and discontinuity out from the Marxist and Pragmatic prospective, and find out the suitability of some of its understanding to the changes occurred in the present components, in particular the social and architecture thought or architecture and Urbanism. Of the most important findings of this study, is that the change occurred in the prevailing societal thought and the beliefs in our Arab societies with what they bear of legacy during periods of time, either its continuity of its originality is available or not, is the main motivation that imposes respond to continue both continuity and discontinuity on architectural and Urban appearance in any approach that can cope the reality of any place or, but to respect constants (Quran and Sunnah) and to adapts to any of the variables that fit interior or exterior of our Arab societies.

STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES AND CONTEMPORARY ADVANCES ON MUD ARCHITECTURE CASE STUDY: WADI HADHRAMAUT, YEMEN
Clay Architecture won a great interest due to its environmental and economic characteristics. Despite the huge advances in techniques and modern building materials, mud architecture has maintained its popularity in many parts of the world. Recently, there was an increase in risks of construction of mud faces, which is influenced by the increase in humidity due to climatic changes, increase of rainfall, and the flow of the floods. Which led to a destruction and demolition to various areas in the world and threatened the legacy of human and may even lead to a decrease in construction of mud or to its end, especially under these inevitable changes; unless there are ways to address effective solutions directly? Wadi Hadhramaut mud architecture is considered one of the world most threatened areas caused by these risks and it is the problem that the research aims to highlight and look for solutions. Problematic search is concentrated in the following question. Can the mud architecture in Wadi Hadhramaut, within its current form, resists the environmental and climatic variables? To answer this question we need to study the mud architecture in Wadi Hadhramaut, the advantages and disadvantages of the different technologies, and its vulnerability towards the unstable surrounding environmental and climatic effects, ways and different techniques to handle. The research mainly aims to provide architectural treatments that help mud architecture resist the various environmental factors, which threaten its continuation. Moreover, the research within this study follows the analytical method through; the previous studies, and analysis of the status; in addition to the fieldwork represented in studying and documenting the current situation.
