DESIGN OF ROBUST PID CONTROLLERS FOR FIRST-ORDER PLUS TIME DELAY SYSTEMS BASED ON FREQUENCY DOMAIN SPECIFICATIONS
This paper considers a design method for PID controllers to achieve the robustness to the uncertaintyof the time delay for the first-order plus time delay system (FOPTD). Initially, the stabilizing regionsof the PID controller gains are determined by a graphical stability method. Then, we specify twosimultaneous design specifications: gain margin and phase crossover frequency. These specificationsgive a set of stabilizing PID controllers. To get a unique PID controller, we introduce an additionalconstraint which is finding the smallest absolute value of the slope of the open-loop systemmagnitude at the specified phase crossover frequency. The obtained PID controller is located in thestability region, and also robust to system time delay variation due to the proposed constraint.

EXPLORE POSSIBILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION IN ARCHITECTURE (LESSONS FROM INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES)
Rapid evolution of communication and Internet technologies has great impact in the development of distance education methods. Also, increasing demand for higher education and the inability of traditional educational institutions to keep pace with this growing demand has led to increased demand for this type of education. Despite of widespread availability of programs and degrees introduced and granted through distance education, academic programs in the field of architecture is still limited. This is probably because the uniqueness of architectural education, which relies on direct interaction between students and professors at studios of design. Thus, a problem happens when transforming architectural curriculum from traditional education to distance education. So, this research tries to explore possibilities and opportunities for distance education in architecture. Analytical methods, both qualitative and quantitative were used to analyze several international experiences of distance education in the field of architecture. Many questions of research were answered that concerning with stating definitions and clear boundaries for different methods of distance education, figuring out the most appropriate methods for architectural education, shedding light on many of technologies used, describing statistically many of academic programs, and finding methods of overcoming problem of physical separation in teaching courses of design studios. Thus, results of this research support directly process of designing educational technical plans in architectural institutions

ANALYSIS OF SECURITY NEEDS AND SAFETY IN THE DESIGN OF HOSPITAL BUILDINGS IN YEMEN (CASE STUDY OF HOSPITALS IN HADRAMOUT)
This paper discusses the importance of providing security and safety needs as one of the main elements that underpin the design and function of health care facilities and provides a safe environment for individuals of users or work crews. In general, health facilities counted as the arteries, which supply societies with life, especially in times of emergency and crisis. Through the review of studies and analysis of some hospital buildings designs in Yemen, some indicators that suggest a defect in the functioning of labor system in providing security needs and safety of this type of facilities, which in turn negatively affects the safety of individuals from patients or visitors, as well as various medical, technical or administrative work crews. The aim of this paper is to analyze the status of selected sample of Yemen's hospitals buildings in Hadramout. Seyoun General Hospital (in Seyoun), and Mukalla hospital for Maternal and Children (in Mukalla) selected as samples for the study in order to identify the availability of security and safety in the design of these hospitals as one of the essential humanitarian needs of the users guided by security and safety standards listed by the World Health Organization. This paper, through these analyses, tries to determine the defects and analyze the problems that resulted from the failure of some these basic requirements that will ensure the safety of users and verify a sense of safety in these kinds of facilities. Accordingly, recognize the most important system elements appropriate to the environment in Yemen, according to local conditions and available requirements (human, technical, technology, etc.).This paper Concludes to develop a comprehensive conception of the main elements and necessary requirements, which can meet the needs of verifying the system in available resources, and determine the need for a detailed formulation to activate the elements of this system in hospitals of Yemen in line with local conditions of the study area.

POST OCCUPANCY EVALUATION OF THE NEW EL TAREF CITY HOUSES
Due to the importance of archaeological areas of the western mainland in Luxor as a rare historicaland cultural value which made a national، regional، and international issue. And as the New ElTaref project has special case concern with displace the inhabitants of the village from their homebesides the archaeological areas of the Western mainland in Luxor to set up a new society in ElTaref. So the research will handle this case to evaluate how far the project succeeded or failed inachieving the goals of the project and save these areas، and the research will handle that by applyingthe approach of post occupancy evaluation on the houses in The New El Taref. The research starts with simple theoretical explaining to post occupancy evaluation approach byshowing some definitions to understand its components، there is no doubt that there is problem withthe unconcerned with applying the post occupancy evaluation approach، so the research will presentthe most important points showing its importance، especially with a lot of benefits in all aspectsrelated with building and throughout the life of building. Then the research will give a generalglance about this village. And we move to explain the project of the new village of Hassan Fathywhich considers the most important past displacement efforts with showing its causes and results. Then the research will explain the components of The New El Taref project and applying postoccupancy evaluation to technical، functional and behavioral aspects of the houses. then theresearch ends with displaying evaluation results and recommendations، which recommend thenecessity of applying post occupancy evaluation and its vast benefits especially in this case whichleads to achieving the purposes of displacements projects and solving all problems concerning it.

OF THE OFFICE BUILDINGS IN EGYPT (CASE STUDY:THE OFFICE BUILDING IN EGYPT DURING THE TWENTIETH CENTURY)
This paper, trying to searches the extent of the effect of political transitions on the architecturalimage of the office buildings during the twentieth century and research in books and specializedresearches in the study of the correlation between politics and architecture, has been monitoring theeffect of successive political transitions during the twentieth century - the british occupation (1882-1952 ) then the July 1952 revolution, then the war of October 1973 architectural image of the officebuildings during each period separatel.Hence the back of the effect of the political transitions on the trchitectural image of the officebuildings during the twentieth century, and therefore research recommends with the beginning of anew period of political transition in Egypt (after the revolution of 25 January 2011), theestablishment of a competent authority office buildings - serve as the educational buildingsauthority - oversee licenses and the implementatio of the office buildings, and this authoritylegislation the laws and regulations for the implementation of the office buildings, in accordancewith the observance of environmental conditions and the Egyptian identity.

PERCEPTION OF HERITAGE BUILDINGS EL-STREET MOEZ LE DIN ALLA CASE STUDY
Perception is the process through which people communicate, and interact with theirsurrounding environment, as it is filled with stimuli that perception help us rate andorganize in a way that gives us a meaning. This perception is formulated by the person’sculture and perceptual concepts, according to that the reaction of the person to hisenvironment is determined. This stage paves to a certain behavior towards theenvironment. Therefore, our behavior depends on our understanding of what around us.Nowadays، architecture has no longer have specific cultural reference, as a result the gap < br />between architecture and culture of person is widened، which may cause malfunction inthe Perception process. This research studies models of islamic heritage architecture in Egypt because it carriesinside a lot of non materialistic dimensions that is associated with the culture of thecommunity and its spiritual dimensions. We will recognize the non-material aspects of thisarchitectural and urbanism heritage, and monitor their impacts on the Perception, and thepersonal response towards the environment and personal interaction with it.The research concludes that compatibility between non-material dimensions of buildings, heritage and the culture of the person leads to easy understanding for meaningful values inthe building environment. Through that the Perception process will occur properly and thiswill lead to camaraderie and sense of belonging towards the place, thus it will initiatepositive behaviors towards this place.
