Abstract
The temporary city, specially Arabian city faces great challenges mainly after the wide spread of globalization phenomenon and the great technology revolution and what followed that from its trial to follow this great development in the form of blind imitation, ignorance of the local features characterizing the city and importation of urban theories and legislations which are foreign from local context. What leads to deficiency of temporary city urbanism to most of the characteristics and features which provides it uniqueness and identity, furthermore, it leads to spread of Placelessness phenomenon and as a result great interest in identity issues and sense of place emerges, since urbanism (built environment) is considered open window on nations' civilization as it is the tool for cultural expression of the society in the form of tangible civil product that reflects the cultural attitudes of this society which are represented in its authentic values and traditions thus they are its goals while the city is its means and applications in real life. The science of urbanism determines life style and how it is developed socially, economically and environmentally accepted with spatial society characteristics and its cultural attitudes. The research aims at exploring the relation between identity and globalization to clarify the causes of the spread of Placelessness phenomenon in our temporary urbanism seeking to reach theoretical approach supporting the emerge of an urban product characterized by belonging to its local context and respecting spatial society characteristics and its cultural roots supporting urban identity future and keeping with scientific and technological updates.
