Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to investigate the enhancement of
power system stability via coordinated design of Thyristor Controlled
Series Compensation (TCSC) and Power System Stabilizers (PSSs) in
multi-machine power system. The problems that are to be faced in the
planning stage are appropriate type, location, size and setting of these
controllers for various applications. In order to address this problem, an
effort is made in this project to study technical issues of TCSC controller
in type, capacity and placement, and other pertinent information relating
to power system in developing nations.
