Abstract
Clay architecture has received significant attention due to its environmental and economic characteristics and continued throughout the world despite the tremendous progress in modern construction techniques and materials. Because of the technological advancement, recently clay architecture has been facing major increasing challenges, which threaten its existence in general. This is the problem that this research aims to highlight and to search for solutions. The objective of this study will be - reached through a study of clay architecture; the extent to which it is influenced by contemporary developments, different methods and techniques in dealing with such developments through a study of the systematic framework. This is to reach a future vision that ensures the survival of clay architecture and protects it from extinction. The question here is how resilient these buildings can be against modernity that afflicts these amazing clay buildings and architecture. Many people realize the heritage and environmental value of clay architecture, but they may not favor it aesthetically, and they strive to transfer the modern cities architecture to his natural clay environment. Nowadays, clay architecture has become in the face of urban cities architecture with its modernity, in the sense of conflict between architectural styles that are completely different regarding building materials, style and functions. It seems that preserving clay architecture is not the most important dilemma facing today's specialists, but how to develop this architecture to keep up with the changes of modern time. This research aims mainly to reach a future vision that ensures the survival of clay architecture and ensure its technological progress development.
