The internal spaces of residential buildings constitute a system that contains many activities, and the features of the job are determined based on the environmental conditions prevailing in the place so that the design of this space comes in harmony with its environment to achieve comprehensive comfort for all individuals using it. Hence the importance of environmental and climate assessment of residential spaces, and environmental assessment is limited to several sections, including the thermal environment, which has a clear and important impact on the functional performance within the space.
The construction industry is the main cause of most of these environmental problems, as thermal comfort affects buildings in the process of energy consumption to compensate for high temperatures, according to some estimates, the construction industries worldwide consume about 40% of the world's total energy and 30% of the total raw materials. The main reason for this is that the urban development process occurs in isolation from the surrounding environment, which led to our interest in the research process to find appropriate solutions to reduce energy consumption and the emergence of many ideas and methods to solve the problem of thermal comfort, and among those solutions is the study of integrating smart innovative shading methods to save energy and achieve thermal comfort within residential spaces.
This study aims to find an innovative shading system and suitable materials to increase the shading area in the facades of residential buildings in order to achieve energy saving and thermal comfort through the application of an innovative shading method in the outer shell of residential buildings. The result appeared by the correlation of the movement of the umbrella with the movement of the sun, which achieved a complete shading in the full hour of the atom of the sun, which gives a complete effectiveness in complete shading and achieving an energy saving rate of 11.6% of the building's energy consumption, and this is at two o'clock in the afternoon.
To achieve this goal, this research is based on the use of the descriptive analytical approach to study the method of shading with its components used in shading the external façade with the study of the prevailing innovative shading system for the outer shell of residential buildings in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the methods of application used for some of the shading methods used, and then we use the experimental approach through a simulation process using the design builder program With analysis and description of the results resulting from the use of an innovative method and the proposed materials for the outer shell in residential buildings to improve thermal comfort and reduce energy consumption. This contributes to achieving a solution to help architects and owners of residential buildings to reduce the high costs resulting from energy consumption, which contributes to helping the state achieve solutions to one of the existing problems.
 
الملخص
تشكل الفراغات الداخلية للمباني السكنية منظومة تحتوي على العديد من الانشطة وتتحدد معالم الوظيفة بناء على الظروف البيئية السائدة في المكان بحيث يأتي تصميم هذا الفراغ منسجما مع بيئته ليحقق الراحة الشاملة لكل الافراد المستخدمين له.  ومن هنا تأتي أهمية التقييم البيئي والمناخي للفراغات السكنية وينحصر التقييم البيئي في عدة اقسام ومن ضمنهم البيئة الحرارية التي تؤثر تأثير واضح ومهم في الاداء الوظيفي داخل الفراغ. وتعتبر صناعة البناء المسبب الرئيسي لمعظم هذه المشكلات البيئية حيث تؤثر الراحة الحرارية على المباني في عملية استهلاك الطاقة لتعويض درجات الحرارة المرتفعة فحسب بعض التقديرات فان صناعات البناء على مستوي العالم تستهلك حوالي 40% من اجمالي الطاقة في العالم و30% من جملة المواد الخام. فيكون السبب الرئيسي في ذلك هو أن عملية التطوير العمراني يحدث بمعزل عن البيئة المحيطة به، مما ادي الي اهتمامنا بعملية البحث لإيجاد الحلول الملائمة لتقليل استهلاك اطاقة وظهور العديد من الافكار والاساليب لحل مشكلة الراحة الحرارية ويكون ضمن تلك الحلول وهي دراسة دمج اساليب التظليل المبتكرة الذكية للتوفير الطاقة وتحقيق الراحة الحرارية داخل الفراغات السكنية. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى ايجاد نظام تظليل مبتكر ومواد مناسبة لزيادة مساحة التظليل في واجهات المباني السكنية لكي تعمل على تحقيق توفير الطاقة وتحقيق الراحة الحرارية وذلك من خلال تطبيق اسلوب تظليل مبتكر في الغلاف الخارجي للمباني السكنية. ليتم تحقيق هذا الهدف يقوم هذا البحث على استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لدراسة اسلوب التظليل بمكوناته المستخدمة في تظليل الواجهة الخارجية مع دراسة نظام تظليل مبتكر السائدة للغلاف الخارجي للمباني السكنية في جمهورية مصر العربية  وطرق التطبيق المستخدمة لبعض اساليب التظليل المستخدمة ومن ثم نقوم باستخدام المنهج التجريبي وذلك عن طريق عملية محاكاة وذلك باستخدام برنامج design builder مع تحليل ووصف النتائج الناتجة عن استخدام اسلوب مبتكر والمواد المقترحة للغلاف الخارجي في المباني السكنية لتحسين الراحة الحرارية وخفض معدل استهلاك الطاقة. وظهرت النتيجة بترابط حركة المظلة مع حركة الشمس مما تحقق تظليل مكتمل في ساعة الذرة الكامل للشمس مما يعطي فعالية مكتملة في تظليل تام وتحقيق نسبة توفير في الطاقة بنسبة11.6% من استهلاك المبني للطاقة وهذا في تمام الثانية ظهرا. مما يساهم في تحقيق حل لمساعدة المهندسين المعماريين وأصحاب المباني السكنية لتقليل التكاليف العالية الناتجة عن استهلاك الطاقة مما يساهم في مساعدة الدولة في تحقيق الحلول لأحدي المشكلات القائمة.
